While many nesting solutions are based on algorithms bought from third parties, Gemini CAD Systems developed a cutting edge proprietary algorithm, specially designed for leather industry.
This allows us to further develop our technology, making constant improvements. Here is the history of our nestingR&D:

• 2009
  Gemini CAD Systems introduces parallel computing for nesting for the first time and immediately becomes a technology leader in nesting for textile applications.
• 2012
  Gemini CAD Systems develops and implements a breakthrough solution: multi-machine nesting, launching the first specialized server for leather nesting: Thagora LX1.
• 2016
  With extensive experience in parallel algorithm development and understanding the potential of multi-hide nesting, Gemini CAD Systems has launched the LX2 server, dedicated to the furniture and automotive industries.
• 2018
  After an extensive R&D program, Gemini CAD Systems launches the next generation of multi-hide nesting technology, powered by the latest developments of GPU technology. Unlike the limitations of CPU, the use of GPU (General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units) increases the nesting speed (up to 20x). Thus, the much higher computing power available for the multi-hide nesting leads to much better results in leather savings.
